An update from Inspector Paul Smith of South Holland Neighbourhood Policing Team

Following concerns raised by residents about speeding on roads in their local area, officers from South Holland’s Neighbourhood team, with support from Special Constables, carried out speed enforcement checks yesterday (Wednesday 23 September) at:

📍 Six House Bank, West Pinchbeck
📍 B1166, Shepeau Stow
📍 Postland Road, Crowland
📍 West Elloe Avenue, Spalding
📍 Glen Side North, West Pinchbeck
📍 Station Road, Moulton
📍 Cowbit Road, Spalding
📍 Broadgate, Weston Hills
📍 Spalding Road, Holbeach
📍 Gosberton Road, Surfleet
📍 Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge

🚔 As a result:

✅ 10 Traffic Offence Reports were issued for speeding in a 30mph zone

⚠️ 6 drivers were issued with warnings

Inspector Smith said: “Speed limits are in place to protect everyone using our roads, and we continue to target locations identified through community concerns and intelligence.

“Thank you to everyone who reports speeding issues (and all other concerns) to us. Reporting information helps us direct our patrols to where they are needed most, to be able to take action against those putting others at risk.”
